About ImpactLoop
ImpactLoop was founded in 2022 to bridge the gap between academic and applied research in international development. Headquartered in London, we draw on a network of researchers and development practitioners across Europe, Africa, Latin America and Asia. We harness digital tools to leverage partnerships with consultants and organisations around the globe. The name Impactloop underlines our core mission; to ensure that the results of our research come full circle and are beneficial to all stakeholders involved.
ImpactLoop specialises in rigorous impact evaluations (experimental or quasi-experimental). We also offer other types of quantitative and qualitative evaluations, needs assessments, and applied research including meta-analysis, evidence and gap maps, and literature reviews. We collect and analyse mixed-methods data, and develop results-based monitoring systems. We offer all of our services with the aim of strengthening evidence-based policymaking and evidence-based programmatic learning for our clients.
Our work is underpinned by learning loops, and an adaptable, participatory, and inclusive research approach. We wish to cultivate a culture of evaluations that is based on respect, cultural diversity, participation and empowerment through knowledge and evidence.
Our clients include international development organisations, federal ministries, research institutes, and NGOs.
Our Work Culture
We pursue an outcomes-based working style, with flexible hours and a high level of autonomy. We all work remotely. As a young fast-growing company, we value proactiveness and an eagerness to embrace change.
Overview of the Position & Responsibilities
As we are rapidly growing as a young company, we require support on business operations. This entails working across several business areas. The Business Operations Associate will be expected to amplify business development and the visibility of ImpactLoop’s work, impact, and experts to key audiences.
Business Development Support
Most of our projects are won through competitive tenders. We identify suitable calls for consultancies (also known as requests for proposals (RfPs)) and apply by writing a proposal. The Junior / Associate for Business Operations associate would provide support to the team by:
Screening and identifying suitable tenders
supporting proposal coordination and writing.
This requires coordinating with different consultants across the globe, being able to quickly understand different subject matters in international development, and drawing up operational plans and budgets together with other team members.
Communications & Visibility
To create more visibility of Impactloop and communicate the results of our research, the Junior / Associate for Business Operations would support the team in
social media communication (i.e. LinkedIn)
website updates (using WIX)
content writing and reviewing (e.g. blog posts)
This includes supporting the creation of content for our website and LinkedIn profile, and supporting the writing and reviewing of blog posts which convert our research studies into content that is easy-to-understand for lay audiences.
Project Administration
As ImpactLoop acquires more projects, we will require project-admin and project backstopping support.
