Senior Sustainability Consultant
Blaga is an international development professional and has 9+ years’ experience in sustainable agriculture and agroecology, smallholder coffee production systems, fair and inclusive value chains, MEAL, capacity building, and designing improved outcomes for producers with a strong focus on East Africa.
She has led cross-cultural teams, programmes, projects, and partnerships with a systems approach that incorporates inclusivity, change and knowledge management, organisational effectiveness and innovation to ensure social, economic and environmental resiliency and sustainability.
In her various roles, Blaga has worked with smallholder communities, local governments and CSOs, national and international NGOs as well as multilaterals (USAID, UN-FAO, Sida, IITA, GIZ), global donors (Gates, DEG, CRS) and private partners. She has led and coordinated numerous qualitative and quantitative studies and assessments using various tools and methodological approaches aimed at strengthening accountability as well as institutional and cross-sectoral learning.
Blaga holds a master’s degree in Social Innovation for Sustainable Development from the University of Turin and the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ILO).
